Inclement Weather Policy

 

The following plan will be used when severe inclement weather occurs. An official announcement will be made by the Superintendent of Schools if school will be closed. We will alert the radio and TV stations at 6:00 am; however, a school closing announcement may be made the day before at 10:00 p.m.

 

Listed are the radio and TV stations that will be contacted when schools are closed:

 

KOFO – 1220 AM

WDAF – Radio and TV – 610 AM and Channel 4

KMBZ – 980 AM

KCTV – Radio and TV – 910 AM and Channel 5

KMBC – Channel 9

KSHB – Channel 41

 

In the unlikely event extreme weather ever prevents our buses from transporting your child home your students will be kept at their prospective buildings for you to pick up. You will be contacted by telephone if your child is at the building and our plans will be coordinated with you.
