Welcome to Sunflower Elementary!

We are excited about the upcoming school year.  Please continue to check this website for additions and changes throughout the school year.

Sunflower Elementary opened in 1985.  The school has approximately 370 students in grades 3 through 5.  Currently, there are sixteen classrooms and a resource room to serve students.  The school also houses a program for EMH students.

The Paola community supports the education of the Sunflower children in a number of ways. Youth Friends plays a valuable role in our educational process logging in an average of 400 hours per month.  High school students play an integral role by assisting in the classroom.  Intergenerational interaction is provided through the Foster Grandparent program.
