Paola High School students wishing to guarantee admission to any one of the six Kansas Regents universities (Emporia State University, Fort Hays University, Kansas State University, Emporia State University, Pittsburg State University, University of Kansas and Wichita State University) must satisfy the Kansas Board of Regents requirements.
Students graduating through the years 2011-2014 must meet one of the following criteria:
- ACT score of 21 or higher, OR
- Graduate in top one-third of their class, OR
- Complete the pre-college curriculum with GPA of 2.0 or higher
Students graduating in 2015 and after must meet the following criteria:
- Complete the pre-college or Kansas Scholars Curriculum with at least a 2.0 GPA; AND
- Achieve one of the following:
- ACT score of 21 or higher; OR
- SAT score of 980 or high; OR
- Graduate in the top one-third of their class; AND
- Achieve a 2.0 GPA or higher on any college credit taken in high school.
