Hello!  My name is Annette Husted.   My family moved to Greeley, Kansas at the end of my second-grade year and that is where I grew up.  While living in Greeley, I attended St. John's School through fifth grade and Greeley Grade Elementary from sixth-eighth grade.  I attended all four years of high school and graduated from Garnett High School.  I enjoyed playing softball every summer, and I loved playing on my school basketball teams in all my middle and high school years.  I graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2003.  I taught sixth-grade Communications (English Language Arts) and Social Studies at Paola Middle School from 2004-2018.  I began teaching seventh-grade Communications in the fall of 2018.  

My hobbies include creative writing (poetry and short stories), sewing, arts/crafts, reading - especially fantasy and science fiction, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.  I am not afraid to try new things, and I love learning every day.  My goal is to help students develop the same desire to become lifelong learners.
