Welcome to our Food Service Program!
The National School Lunch Program is designed to give students the opportunity to select foods they like and will eat. The Food Service Department provides a high quality, nutritious breakfast and lunch at all attendance centers.
Daily menus at each school will offer milk, protein, fruit, vegetables, and whole grain rich bread items. As the students get older additional options are available. Sunflower Elementary offers yogurt and string cheese as a second entree choice for all grades. Fifth graders also have the option of having a chef salad for their entree. Both entree choices include the rest of the fruit and vegetable meal choices.
Paola Middle School offers chef salads as an entrée substitute and includes all fruit, vegetable and bread choices to complete the meal. There is also a Garden Bar available where a student can make their own salad if they choose as a main or side dish. An Ala Carte selection is available at Middle School as well. It includes homemade pumpkin bread, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, cereal bars, cookies and various other whole grain items.
Paola High School students can choose from two hot entrée choices or a chef salad entrée. They also have a garden bar available daily and enjoy having a Snack Bar open daily during serving times. A Snack Bar Price list is available here.
Good nutrition is vital to every student's mental and physical development. The Food Service staff looks forward to seeing all of you in our cafeteria for breakfast and lunch.
Menus are available here and are posted in each building. ALL MENUS are subject to change based on product availability. We value your feedback and would like to hear from you what your favorite, and least favorite, items are that we serve. You can email your questions or comments to the Food Service Department at Bill_Rosich@usd368.org.
In addition, Free and Reduced Meal Benefits applications are available at all buildings, on the website (here) and from the Food Service Department.
